Welcome to DYALOGue
Summer has finally arrived – in more than just name. Sunshine and temperatures above 20 degrees invariably brings out cravings for black hamburgers and burnt sausages, so we have inaugurated the Dyalog office BBQ.
On a more serious note, we are facing a very hectic summer – not least because:
- We're moving offices
- We're planning presentations for the Global APL2010 conference
- We're planning demonstrations and presentations for the dedicated Dyalog streams
- We're busy getting Version 13.0 ready for beta
- And on a personal note, Morten and I are trying to squeeze in a bit of R&R on the old sailing ship Anna-Elise (1932) the first 2 weeks of July
I would like to take the opportunity to remind you to register NOW for APL2010 if you want to take advantage of the early bird discount
Early Bird registration discount expires July 1st, 2010
PLEASE NOTE – Students can attend the conference free of charge *. All you have to do is register and bring proof of your student status with you to the Conference Desk when you check-in. See more about the conference later in this newsletter.
Allow me also to introduce the newest member of the Dyalog Team – Jay Foad. Meet Jay later in this newsletter.
Finally, a bit nearer the time for this year's global APL conference we will issue another DYALOGue with more details of the final programme, synopsis notes on Dyalog presentations and Dyalog user presentations, as well as descriptions of the workshops and training courses we will be conducting.
Meanwhile, I wish you a nice and sunny summer and look forward to seeing many of you in Berlin.
Enjoy your reading!
