It's time to book the dates for THE ARRAY language event of the Year - Dyalog '13 - Florida, USA October 20–24


The highlight in the APL world this year takes place in the US. We are really fortunate, as our venue is the Embassy Suites situated on Deerfield Beach. This lovely beachfront all-suite resort is situated between Boca Raton and Ft. Lauderdale on Florida’s Gold Coast. Embassy Suites is located on an island with a bridge to the mainland. More to the point – Dyalog ’13 will occupy the entire venue. Ft Lauderdale International airport is just 18 miles away and Palm Beach International airport 23 miles away. The distance to Miami International airport is 47 Miles.

Pricing

The expected price for a single person attending the conference is US$1,675. This includes conference fees, accommodation, all meals (breakfast/lunch/dinner/complementary manager's reception 5:30-7:30 PM, full bar, house brand plus the banquet) for Mon, Tues, and Weds nights, plus breakfast and lunch on Thurs.

The expected price for a single person attending the conference AND the workshops is US$2,200. This includes conference fees, accommodation, all meals (breakfast/lunch/dinner/complementary manager's reception 5:30-7:30 PM, full bar, house brand, plus the banquet) for Sun, Mon, Tues, and Weds nights, plus breakfast, lunch and dinner on Thurs.

Our usual Early Bird discount of 10% will be available for a period of time, when the registration system opens.

The cost of additional nights lodging for delegates who plan to arrive on Saturday or stay Thursday night will be around US$180 per night including taxes.

Transportation to and from the venue will be approximately US$40 to US$100 from Miami airport and US$20 to US$50 from Ft Lauderdale airport. The Embassy Suites concierge has offered to arrange transportation to and from the airport, combining rides where reasonable and acceptable. Attendees will need to pay via credit card.

WHY should you attend Dyalog '13?

Outside of having a number of really interesting presentations, we will be running a series of workshops and training courses which will give you insight - and hands on time - with some of the latest tools and the feature/functionality they provide.

You will get news of Version 14, exciting new platforms and demos of some of the new features. Morten Kromberg will present the roadmap – which is always exciting and contains short as well as long term goals with regards to where the language and features will be going. Presentations by clients that showcase what you can do with APL are always a popular part of the conference.

The conference is a fantastic opportunity to network with other APLers, and share/showcase some of your latest development tracks and applications. We often have little 'huddles' going on – and the venue is excellent for such impromptu meetings. Many of the Dyalog developers will be in attendance and happy to engage in these discussions as well as one-on-one discussions.

We won't forget to mention the Banquet dinner which usually also features a spot of surprise entertainment.

You may have noticed that this year the conference is 5 days – just like 2012 in Denmark. This is because delegates have asked for more time, and because we have developed completely new workshops and training courses.

So please book the dates in your diary now, and we will let you know when the registration system is open, so you can take advantage of the 10% Early Bird discount.

P.S. As usual we will have a spouse package – so why not bring your other half and let them enjoy the sunny climate, the beach resort and perhaps explore some of the many attractions in the surrounding area. The Embassy Suites rooms are all two room suites with two full bathrooms and full kitchens so your guests will be comfortable while you attend the conference.
