Dyalog sponsors Coconut Shy at Diamond Jubilee Village Fete
"I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts
There they are, all standing in a row
Big ones, small ones, some as big as your head
Give them a twist, a flick of the wrist
That's what the showman said."
Dyalog believes it is important to support the local community in Bramley. This year, the village fete was held to coincide with the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, and as you can see from the pictures below, no effort was spared in making it a festive day despite the weather being less than sunny.
For those of us unfamiliar with the game, a coconut shy is a traditional game frequently found as a side stall at fun fairs and fetes. The game consists of throwing wooden balls at a row of coconuts balanced on posts. Typically a player buys three balls and wins each coconut successfully dislodged. In some cases other prizes may be won instead of the coconuts.
The Dyalog sponsorship raised £200, which will be split between Bramley Church & Bramley Clift Meadow Trust.
No effort was spared, and one table for tea wasn't enough
Cream Teas anyone?
