Welcome to DYALOGue – Summer 2008
I can hardly believe that we're already in July – I wonder where the time has gone. On the other hand, when I look at all the activities we've conducted over the past 6 months I get my perspective back on track pretty quickly.
Commercial launch of Dyalog for Windows 32 bit Version 12.0 in February was the first big push. And we’re already one step ahead again. In this issue of Dyalogue you will see that Version 12.0.3 for Windows 32 bit and 64 bit are now in Beta testing and the commercial availability of both 32 and 64 Bit for Windows, as well as the other platforms, are also announced. See more here.
We then had a manic travel schedule over March with visits to Australia and New Zealand – and I am pleased to announce that we now have a new distributor – Hologram.
Whilst travelling can hold its charms, certainly when one is visiting new beautiful geographies – such as New Zealand was for me – it is, however, even nicer to get back home again. This time we had much to look forward to, as we were celebrating the 25th anniversary of Dyalog on April 11-12. It was a couple of moving and fun days and we thoroughly enjoyed seeing so many "old" faces. Thanks to all who helped make this a memorable milestone.
Moving swiftly on – May provided a short breathing space – leading up to June's spring conference spree, see more here.
As I am writing, we are opening the Registration System for Dyalog '08. This year's User Conference will take place in Elsinore October 12-15. I would like to take this opportunity to promote the 10% early bird discount which applies if you register before 31st August Midnight UK time. So go on, register now.
The summer holiday this year will hopefully give time for reflection as we will be crewing on the beautiful Anna Elise exploring the northern part of the Danish Coast of Jutland. A different way to holiday which provides a fantastic and peaceful contrast to our otherwise busy lives.
May I wish you all a happy, warm and sunny summer.
Enjoy your reading!
