It is more than 15 years since Dyalog Ltd introduced the 64-bit version of Dyalog. Since then, we have provided and supported both 64-bit and 32-bit versions, but as time has progressed we have found it more and more difficult to maintain the same level of functionality for both versions as the environment for 32-bit is not kept in line with the development environment for 64-bit. Considering the added efforts to keep 32-bit functional, we have decided to discontinue offering the 32-bit licence as a separate product.

Please be advised from the 1 January 2024, Dyalog Ltd will be changing their licence structure as follows:

• One Licence Type – Dyalog Ltd will only be offering a single type of commercial developer licence. This will be an annual multi-platform developer licence, and will include 32-bit and 64-bit Unicode versions. The supported platforms will be Microsoft Windows, macOS, and Linux. The multi-platform developer licence will include DSS+.
• One Price – The above-mentioned multi-platform developer licence will have an annual subscription price of £1,375.00GBP per licence, per year.
  NOTE: If you have any commercial 64-bit or 32-bit licences, all your current licences must be upgraded to the new multi-platform developer licence by your 2024 renewal date. For example, if you have a 64-bit commercial developer licence for Microsoft Windows at £1,275.00GBP per year, your 2024 renewal/upgrade price will be £1,375.00GBP to obtain the multi-platform developer licence. This is a price increase of £100.00GBP per licence, per year, for customers with a 64-bit commercial developer licence.
• DSS+ Only – Customers with historical licence types who pay an annual DSS+ subscription only will be able to retain their historical licence and will continue to pay for DSS+ only. However, the price of their DSS+ subscription will increase to £865.00GBP per licence, per year. Customers with historical 32-bit licences who pay for DSS+ only will also have a one-time only upgrade fee of £450.00 per licence to upgrade their DSS+ only licence from 32-bit to the new structure.
• Incremental Price Increase – Customers with active 32-bit licences will be contacted within the next few months with detailed information regarding how many 32-bit licences they have, the cost of up-front payment to upgrade to mult-iplatform developer licences, and the annual cost of a gradual price increase over 5 years to upgrade to multi-platform developer and runtime licences.

NOTE: The price changes only apply to commercial developer licences; licences that are governed by separate agreements between Dyalog Ltd and the user are not affected by the price increase. All customers with active 32-bit licences (developer/runtime/DSS+) will be contacted within the next few months with more detailed information about how these changes will affect them directly.
